Time Management Tips For The Chronicaly Lazy

Time management is all about managing the time you have in accordance with what you have or would like to achieve. But if you're naturally a lazy person then organising your time efficiently and staying motivated to achieve your goals, can be an arduous task! But have no fear, as help is always on hand. So if you're looking for a few basic time management tips to help you get the most out of your time, then read on!

Everybody has the same amount of hours in the day - so it's down to you as to how you make the most of them. You can't manage your time effectively if you are constantly lethargic. So you need to make sure you are looking after yourself properly. To have the energy to make the most out of each day you need to get up, and go to bed at a reasonable hour, eat a balanced diet and keep properly hydrated. So now you're physically ready, now comes the mental part!

Start off with writing down your goals. This can be anything from academic assignments to work schedules, housework and hobbies to planning a holiday, buying a car or investing in a new home! Maybe you would like to achieve a better work-life balance? Make a list of what you want to achieve and always keep it to hand. It doesn't matter either whether it's on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.

Once you know what your work or personal goals are, then you can set about making a plan of how to achieve them. Take into account if you have a time limit and be sure to prioritise the important things. Keep monitoring your progress and check off when you have completed something. This can all help with your motivation, because as you check off your list it reaffirms your new found organizational skills are working and you will notice you are achieving more! Why not reward yourself with a special treat when you reach your target? Having something to really look forward to as an end goal, can give you that extra determination to succeed, especially if you find yourself slipping back into your old sluggish habits!

So remember, the more you improve your time management skills, the happier you will become in your life. You will find yourself less stressed; you'll have more energy and will be far more efficient. And hey, with all this time you will be freeing up, you can look forward to spending it on more things that you enjoy!
